Professor James C. Raymond of
the University of Alabama graduated BA in 1965, MA in 1970
and was awarded a PhD from the University of Texas in Austin
in 1973.
He was Director of Freshman English from 1973 to 2001 and is a
former Assistant Dean of the Graduate School.
Professor Raymond has served on several creative writing and
educational committees including the Committee of the
Humanities in Alabama. He has written and edited many
publications on writing, rhetoric and composition.
Professor Raymond has conducted numerous seminars in legal
writing in the United States of America, Canada and several
African and Caribbean countries and has been a consulting
editor and manuscript reviewer for many of the leading
publishing houses in the United States of America.
